These terms and conditions apply to your entry into Team Marathon London ("the Event"), organised by Square Mile Sport Services Limited, trading as Team Marathon ("Team Marathon", "we", "us" or "our"). By registering for the Event you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where you are registering a team, each member of your team.

Your entry is also subject to the terms of our ticketing partner, Let's Do This, and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.

The Event

Team Marathon is a relay marathon for teams of four. The full marathon distance of 26.2 miles is split across the team, with each runner completing part of the route, and the team finishing together. The Event takes place on Saturday 22 May 2027 in Hackney Wick, London. Timings, route and format are correct at the time of publishing and may be subject to change.

Eligibility

All participants must be aged 18 or over on the day of the Event. By entering, you confirm that you are medically fit to take part and that you are not aware of any condition that would make participation unsafe for you or others. Each team must consist of four registered participants. It is the responsibility of the person registering the team to ensure every member meets these requirements.

Entry and registration

Entry is confirmed only once registration is complete and payment has been received through Let's Do This. You are responsible for making sure the details you provide at registration are accurate and kept up to date. We may refuse or cancel an entry if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or that participation would pose a safety risk.

Fees and payment

Entry fees are shown at the point of registration and are processed securely by Let's Do This and its payment provider, Stripe. Prices may change over time, but the price you pay is the price shown when you complete your entry.

Refunds, transfers and substitutions

Entry fees are non-refundable and entries cannot be transferred to another event or another date.

We understand that team line-ups change. A team may substitute an individual team member for another eligible person up to [14] days before the Event, by arranging the change through Let's Do This. Any substitute must meet the eligibility requirements and agree to these terms. An administration fee may apply to substitutions.

Cancellation, postponement or changes by us

We aim to deliver the Event as advertised, but we may need to change the date, route, format or other details, or in rare cases cancel or postpone the Event, for reasons including safety, weather, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel the Event and it is not rescheduled, we will let you know what options are available, which may include the offer of a place at a rescheduled or alternative event. Minor changes to the route, timings or format do not entitle you to a refund.

Your responsibilities and conduct

You take part at your own risk and must follow all instructions given by our event team, marshals, medical staff and stewards. You must wear your official race number as directed, complete only your allocated part of the route, and behave in a way that is safe and respectful to other participants, staff, volunteers and the public. We may remove any participant from the Event, without refund, for unsafe, abusive or antisocial behaviour, or for breaching these terms.

Health, fitness and medical

Participating in a marathon relay is physically demanding. You are responsible for training appropriately and for deciding that you are fit enough to take part. If you feel unwell during the Event you should stop and seek assistance. By entering, you consent to receiving first aid or emergency medical treatment if our event team reasonably considers it necessary.

Assumption of risk

You understand that taking part in a running event carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury. By entering, you accept these risks so far as they arise other than through our negligence.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for any loss or damage that is not a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms, and we are not responsible for loss of or damage to your personal belongings at the Event. Our total liability to you in connection with the Event will not exceed the entry fee you paid.

Photography, film and media

Photography and filming take place at the Event for promotional and marketing purposes. By taking part, you agree that we and our appointed partners may capture and use images and footage that include you, across our website, social media and marketing, without payment. If you have concerns about this, please contact us before the Event.

Personal data

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which sets out what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Please read it alongside these terms.

Ticketing partner

Registration and payment are managed by Let's Do This. Your use of the Let's Do This platform is also subject to their own terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for any failure or delay in delivering the Event that is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, acts of authorities, emergencies, or other events of force majeure.

General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. These terms, together with the documents referred to in them, form the whole agreement between you and us in relation to your entry.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
